Reasons Why Peacock is Not Working on LG Smart TV

1. Ensure That Your LG TV Is Compatible With Peacock
To use the Peacock app on your LG smart TV, you must have a model from 2017 or later that runs LG's webOS. You can identify the year of your LG TV by looking at the model number, which can be found in the system menu or on a sticker on the back of the TV. If you have an LG TV from before 2017, you might want to consider purchasing a streaming stick as a more cost-effective and straightforward alternative to replacing the TV.
You can easily access Peacock on any TV, be it a smart TV or not, by connecting a Fire TV Stick or a Roku streaming stick. Both of these devices are user-friendly and offer a variety of popular streaming applications.
2. Power Cycle the LG TV
Most app issues can be resolved by simply turning the TV off and back on. This is usually due to software glitches, which are a common occurrence in software.
When you press the power button on your LG webOS TV, it won't actually reboot the device. Instead, it will go into standby mode, allowing it to start up faster. Although this may seem convenient, it can cause software issues to accumulate over time.
To force your LG TV to reboot fully:

4. Restart your router and modem
Many times, it is your home Wi-Fi that is causing the issue rather than your TV or the Peacock application.
Rather than spending time diagnosing and resolving each potential network issue, a simple restart of the entire system is often the most effective solution. To keep your network running optimally, restart it at least once a month.
Before you start, make sure that no one in your home is currently using the internet. This process will temporarily disconnect all internet and network connections for approximately five minutes while the device reboots.

- Press the Settings button on your remote.
- Go to the General tab in All Settings.
- Select About this TV and click Check for Updates.
- Once the update is installed, power cycle your TV as instructed.

In order to use all of the features and apps offered by LG, you must agree to all of the associated license agreements.
To do this:
- Press the Settings button on your remote.
- Then go to All Settings and open the General tab.
- Once there, select About this TV.
- Then click on User Agreements.
- Make sure to check that Accept All has been selected.
8. Check the TV Location Settings
Most streaming services and apps are limited in availability, depending on your geographical location.
Peacock and other streaming services have their own methods of verifying your location. However, they may also use your LG TV's own location setting to confirm that information.
To do this:
- Press the Settings button on your remote.
